Winter In Warby Parker
When I was on my first-ever hunt for glasses a few months ago, I was astonished at the absurd prices of prescription eye wear. After staggering out of the Optometrist’s office bewildered by the price tags, I hopped online and felt instantly relieved to know that there were optical companies in the world who do want to improve your vision without robbing your wallet.
Enter: Warby Parker, the incredibly stylish and thankfully affordable eye wear company where you can buy frames and prescription lenses for the bargain price of just $95. When Warby Parker contacted me to get a sneak peek of their new Winter Collection I jumped at the chance!
The Warby Parker Winter Collection is a fusion of old and new, rustic and modern, and isn’t that what everyone wants around the Holiday season? We find new ways to breathe modernity into old traditions, find new gifts for old friends, and celebrate a new year as we have a long goodbye to the last.
Clicking through the new collection of six new frame shapes in five brand new colors, the Lyle was the first frame to catch my eye! The Lyle is my favorite shape of the new collection. When I saw the new shade of ‘Plum Marblewood’ the Lyle comes in, I was sold! Plum is the exact color I envision wearing in a jewel-toned dress to a holiday party, although I also love the frame in the ‘English Oak’ shade.
The Winter Collection also includes two beautiful grey tones to lust over, ‘Newsprint Grey’ and ‘Greystone’. Aside from the Plum Lyles, I may also need a pair of the Watts in Newsprint Grey. I like a more rounded shape with a hint of a cat eye for my eyeglasses, but the collection also boasts some great angular shapes such as the Langhorne.
The very best part of the Warby Parker company is that for every pair of glasses you buy, they donate a pair to someone in need. If that is not the spirit of the season, I don’t know what is!
