Let Go or Be Dragged
Wow! Life has been taking me for such a ride. I have often heard of college students being driven to the brink of insanity during the last few weeks of the semester, but I can honestly say I have never felt that way until now. I have basically been seconds away from pulling my hair out every minute of every day. I think that because it has become so common for people to get Bachelor’s degrees, there is some misconception that it is somehow easy. Any college student ready to have an anxiety-fueled meltdown around finals time can tell you differently! This has been the most taxing, but rewarding semester of my academic career. I imagine graduate school feels like this all of the time.
I have been getting my final papers ready, studying furiously, polishing off final reports for my internship, and gearing up for graduation, which has left little time for lovely blog! I have just a few more posts I need to get ready to finish off my time in London, but if you haven’t been able to tell, I had a spectacular, busy time! My friend Joe and I were recently reminiscing about how it all just went by in one fabulous blur. I am so proud to cross another amazing location off my must-see list, but I am hoping my next trip (wherever that may be as nothing is planned-yet) will be a bit more, shall we say, relaxing?
I have found some very small pockets of time to have just a little fun- and recently got to party at the luxury hotel Thompson LES in New York City. There rooftop bar is to die for! Views of the Chrysler building, Empire State, and the Freedom Tower all on the same deck! There is nothing I love more than a night in New York City that makes me feel fancy!
I feel like I have grown more in the last few months than I have in the last few years. I have learned a lot about friendships, family, life, and taking big leaps! I really do feel like all of my friends are turning the page for the next big chapter in their lives, and I am doing the same right along with them! I will tell you this…the best is yet to come!
