Ferocia Goes to London
I sound like the snobbiest of snobs when I say that this has been the longest period of time I have gone without traveling in years. My last trip was in July, and since then I have been settling into my new job and focusing on school. I couldn’t get myself together to travel in time for winter break, but spring break is rapidly approaching in March and I was not going to miss the opportunity to be free from a full time course load for a week! I was so excited to travel for spring break that all I needed was a location!
There were some amazing cruise deals, but after sorting it out with my friend, Joey, we decided we would rather forgo the cruise for a city or an island. He sent me a perfectly sweet email with these suggestions, and a very brief line that said although it was a long shot- he just HAD to throw the idea of Europe out there…you know…just in case.
All I needed to hear was Europe and I was completely sold. The late winter to early spring is the off season for Europe, if we were going to go, now is the time! It was then a matter of settling on a city, and after deciding we just did not have enough time for sweet, sweet Italy, and also after a brief flirtation with the idea of Madrid, we finally settled on London. We have both always wanted to go there, and with the knowledge that it IS notoriously the most expensive city in Europe, there simply is no time like the present.
London is one of the biggest cities in the world, and I have been aching to wander its ancient streets for a long time! I cannot wait to see the changing of the guard, walk in the iconic footsteps of John Lennon across Abbey Road, and ride the London Eye! Most of all, I cannot wait to share my adventures with all of you!! Stay tuned in the next few months as I plan my trip- and thank you as always for your constant encouragement, and readership!!
Any tips and recommendations that you have are appreciated!
