Thrifting and Other Thoughts
September was so kind to me! I hope that everyone was able to kick off Fall in a brilliant boost of new opportunities! I have been blissfully running around like a crazy person, adjusting to my new job, catching up with friends, and am sort of in between a half-move. Everything is falling slowly into a perfect pace that I am embracing.
Yesterday I went to the VNA sale in Far Hills, New Jersey, and I am so mad at myself for not taking photos! This bi-annual Rummage Sale would have made for such a good full blog post. Instead, I have to describe it to you, which is much less fun, but basically the Visiting Nurses Association takes donations for months, and then hosts basically a giant amazing flea market in Bedminster/Far Hills New Jersey that is a three day long thrifting bonanza. There are huge tents that you have to wait in line to get into, but when you do there are amazing items galore! There are book tents that sell $1.o0 hard cover books, menswear tents, furniture, and MY personal favorite, a Vintage tent that sells incredibly cheap vintage clothes and other finds. At the vintage tent I scored a Christian Dior blazer for the bargain price of $12.00! I also picked up a chambray shirt from Gap, a bohemian Forever 21 top, a jacket originally from Target, and a few other items that totaled in at less than $40.00. If you live in the central Jersey area, I greatly encourage you to check it out!!
Other than that I have been studying, trying really hard to dress stylishly, and plotting my best friend’s bridal shower. I clearly can’t discuss it here in the event she wanders over to my blog, but expect several posts next summer about how to plan the perfect bridal shower, because I am planning one seriously amazing hella-classy affair. Pinterest better watch out!
Also, I would just like to note that Old Navy has some really great, casual, adorable sweaters on sale, and I bought two of them.
That’s all for now!
