Glamorous Girls Getaway: San Fransisco
When my ladies need me, I am there for them! I am loyal to a fault, and I would do anything for the fabulous group of girls that I get to call my best friends! Any favor they need, I try to do my absolute best, when that favor includes flying cross-country, I am so there!
Last weekend marked the five year anniversary of Virginia Tech. This may be just a really terrible day in history for many, but for people who lost someone in that tragic shooting, the entire weekend is one excruciating memory. One of my best friends lost someone that day, and since I have known her we have tried to be out and doing something fabulous together to try to ease the pain of reliving that day once a year. This year was no exception, except because it is such a big anniversary, we decided to take it to the next level and make it a trip! Since she has gotten married, we have not had the opportunity to hang out much together, so we wanted to really maximize our girl bonding experience!
When planning a glamorous girls getaway, of course the topic of the beach and Caribbean are among the first places nominated! Spring time is a pretty popular time to travel to an island, everybody is rushing to get there before the hurricane season starts! The prices were a little too high for us, but I threw out the idea of California, specifically San Fransisco!
I have yet to meet a West Coast city I didn’t love. Having spent time in Los Angeles and San Diego, San Fransisco was next on my radar. My friend, who is also extremely travel savvy, jumped at the chance to go, and we ended up getting a sick deal to California!
Part of why I am able to travel so frequently is I am on travel sites like travelocity and united a few times a week. I always know when there is a deal because I am constantly monitoring prices of flights and hotels in various cities! If you don’t know what the base price is, you won’t know when you’ve struck an amazing deal!
Our trip to California, direct, roundtrip was an astounding $250.00! This is practically unheard of! When I saw that, it was time to buy, buy buy! We also got an amazing deal on a hotel that is considered a landmark in San Fransisco, the Palace Hotel. The Palace has been standing for over 100 years, it was destroyed in the big San Fransisco fire in the early 1900s, and was rebuilt to extreme opulence. The hotel was absolutely stunning, the service was excellent, and I would sincerely recommend this hotel to anyone going to San Fran.
