Inspired by: The Artist

The Artist won so many awards at the Golden Globes, and I feel so lucky to have seen this film before the awards show–because they deserved every single award they received.

The movie is beautiful, stunning, joyful, and whimsical. The trailer for the artist says that “It will remind you of why we love movies so much,” and that is the best way to describe it. Seeing the film on a crowded Saturday night at the theaters will take you back in time to the 1930s, as if you’re sitting behind the band watching a silent film in it’s hay day.

I was reminded of my all time favorite movie-Singing In the Rain- quite frequently during the movie. The Artist is (mostly) a silent film, about the time when talkies first started cropping  up in Hollywood.

Those who resisted the new technology were left in the dust, and this movie tells the tale of the stars that rose, and those whom fell.

The lead actors, Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo, were dazzling and electric together. Their chemistry flies off the screen. Together they are delightful.

Not to mention, Jean Dujardin looks like a gorgeous cross between Walt Disney and my favorite actor, Gene Kelly, who was the most handsome man on this Earth.

You will fall wildly in love with Berenice Bejo, who is an absolute 20s dream in the movie. She is stunning, witty, and adorable, the entire movie is witty and cheeky, and Berenice is pitch perfect at every turn!

The Artist is an absolute must-see, it’s inspiring, beautiful, whimsical, and majestic!! A wonderful experience!
