Fashion Friday: Best Fashion of 2011

Now that 2011 has officially come to a close, I decided it’s time to name some of my favorite Fashions of 2011!! It was a beautiful year in the world of celebrities!

There was A LOT of good red carpet fashion, many of the best looks going to Anne Hathaway when she hosted the 2011 Oscar’s!

Aside from Anne Hathaway, my best dressed for the 2011 Oscar’s included Mila Kunis, Hilary Swank, and Halle Berry. All perfect 10s!

From the 2011 Emmys, my best dressed were Lea Michele, Evan Rachel Wood, Guiliana Rancic, and Jennifer Carpenter. All dressed at the appropriate level of glamour, without  looking like they were going to prom, ahemkylerichardsahem.

Olivia Wilde,  January Jones, Sandra Bullock, and Anne Hathaway were my faves at the 2011 Golden Globes. These ladies looked unique, took a little risk, and it paid off big time!!

Mila Kunis also killed it at the Golden Globes. She looks stunning at everything!

As for other red carpets, Angelina Jolie had an amazing year, as well as Taylor Swift, both professionally and in terms of fashion.

Both women looked stunning at absolutely every turn. Angelina Jolie, of course, has the power to turn heads effortlessly, and it showed in all of her looks.

Taylor Swift is the most age-appropriate dresser, and always looks adorable and glamorous, but sparkley and fun as a 20 year old should be! I adore her.

Katy Perry brought welcomed doses of whimsy on red carpets, and while I wouldn’t call all of her choices classic (or any for that matter), I always look forward to seeing what insane outfit she will don next!

Of course, while many a famous wedding took place this year, it is THE most famous fashion-heard-round-the-world, the Royal Wedding that caused the most stir.

Who could ever forget Catherine Middleton in her elegant-every-woman sort of class, channeling the immortal look of Grace Kelly on her wedding day?

And of course, Pippa Middleton, a woman that made us fall in love with her the second she stepped out of that car.

Here are also some of my favorite random 2011 Fashions that I loved, and am still thinking about/drooling over and won’t soon forget:

Lady Gaga whipping her pink hair in a tuxedo from the Born This Way video, with mock skeleton tattoos. If you ask me, it’s the most iconic fashion moment she has had all year.

Alexander Mcqueens death rocked the fashion world, and a beautiful tribute was made to him, as fans poured into the New York City Metropolitan Museum to see his great works.

Then, of course, the death of another legend hit us hard, and Elizabeth Taylor’s exotic collection of fashion and gems was at Christie’s to close out the year.

Blake Lively in 1960s outfits gracing the pages of Glamour. Still dying.

Actually, I find pretty much anything Blake Lively did/wore to be pretty memorable this year.

Jennifer Lopez in Gucci at the Met Ball. So chic, I can’t even take it.

Also, Rhianna at the Met Ball. A LOT of people didn’t like it, but I found the whole look very striking. A lot of great things happened at the Met Ball this year.

I had a great time recapping my favorite looks from 2011!! Let me know which are your faves!!
